Toolbox 503 / El Bosque

01.06.2012

A Company, together with XCOOP, has been contracted by Cordaid Urban Matters to design a multifunctional neighborhood in El Salvador. The project includes housing for 200 families, social amenities and commerce. The target site for the project is called El Bosque, it will be developed as an exemplary case study based on our Toolbox approach.

Responding to the idea of a continuous feedback loop, the design will be based upon an ongoing site and context investigation as well as the inputs and outcomes of a workshop held earlier this year. The project will be further developed in a Multistakeholder Approach, including the National Vice Ministry for Housing and Urban Development, the Salvadoran Foundation for Development and Minimal Housing FUNDASAL, financing entities, representatives of the local industry, future inhabitants, Urban Matters, XCOOP, A Company and A Foundation.
