In order to raise awareness about the most pending issues in the cities of Costa Rica, A Foundation co-organizes a photography competition together with UN Habitat, the Commission for Urbanism and Landscaping from the National Association of Architects and the MDG Achievement Fund. Further technical support is provided by Aconvivir, the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences and Pausa Urbana.
The topic of the competition is "Public Space, In-Security and Co-Existence". A launching event will take place on the 3rd of November in the National Association of Architects in Curridabat, San Jose, including audio-visual presentations as well as a keynote address by Olger I. González Espinoza, Staff Legal Officer at the Inter-American Court of Human Rights, entitled "City without rights or a right to the city?".
