The eastern edge of La Sabana park in San Jose will house a massive cultural activity on Monday the 24th of January, 2011. Participants include the National Ballet, music groups Sonámbulo, Percance, Akasha, Patiño Quintana, Sight of Emptyness, Rumba Jam, Malpaís, Perrozompopo, Marimbas Perfusión Costa Rica, Arnoldo Castillo, Luis Monge, Edín Solís and Humberto Vargas as well as the theater groups Miraluz, Juan Cuentacuentos and visual artists such as Florencia Urbina, Manuel Zumbado and Pablo Vargas. The photography in this message is provided by our friends from U4.

A Foundation supports and co-organizes different events in Costa Rica’s Greater Metropolitan Area that motivate the use and appropriation of urban public space, especially –as in this case- in and around areas that respond to the idea of a green trajectory for urban recreation and transport, a project called Trama Verde. Furthermore, A Company is working on a design of the Billboard Building as well as the Plaza del Liceo Luis Dobles Segreda in order to improve the quality and character of this important urban site, on both a temporary and permanent basis.
