This design study focuses on the use of 20 and 40 foot shipping containers in low cost housing. The versatility of shipping containers in an architectural or urban context is a reoccurring theme in our work; the allocation of a small scale urban program in container shells is further explored in projects such as P.O.D. or Plug N Skate and T.B.C.; the collective form of grouped container structures with mixed uses has been developed in the Modular Village.
