The winners of the photography competition about public space in Costa Rica have been announced and awarded in a ceremony held at the National Association of Architects in San Jose, Costa Rica, on the 14th of March.
The competition was organized by A Foundation in association with Aconvivir, the Commission for Urbanism and Landscaping from the National Association of Architects, the MDG Achievement Fund, the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences, Pausa Urbana, and UN Habitat. The goal is to strengthen the discussion on the condition and use of public space in Costa Rica.
The winning entry in the professional category is entitled "Urban Utopia"; it was submitted by Ronald Reyes Sevilla. The winning entry in the amateur category is entitled "Impatience"; it was submitted by Ronald Chaverri Vega. A detailed publication including all photography submissions, texts and interviews regarding the thematic will follow shortly.
